Mr. Edgardo R. Serenio, a Licensed Real Estate Broker since 1992, played a foundational role in shaping the economic development of General Santos City. As the first President and Founding Chairman of the General Santos Realtor’s Board Inc. (GENSANREB), and later as Vice President for Mindanao of the Philippine Association of Realtors Boards (PAREB), his leadership elevated the region’s real estate landscape to national prominence.

From 1994 to 1996, he served as Real Estate Consultant for the USAID–Mindanao Growth Plan Project, contributing to strategic urban planning and infrastructure initiatives during a pivotal period in Mindanao’s modernization.
Mr. Serenio also served as President and Chairman of Matutum Ridge Development Corporation, which managed the Tiger Valley Industrial Estate Special Economic Zone, further demonstrating his long-standing commitment to local industry and regional progress.
In 2012, with a vision of national economic contribution and energy self-reliance, he founded SPC, a Philippine-registered oil and gas exploration company that would later evolve into the PiPo™ brand. His legacy lives on—not only in the urban progress of General Santos City and its surrounding provinces—but in the broader mission of catalyzing the Philippines’ energy future.
