A Legacy Project for the Filipinos by the Filipinos.

A Distinct Geography

PiPo™’s exploration activities are focused in frontier sedimentary basins located in the southern Philippines. These areas are strategically situated along underexplored geologic corridors with significant hydrocarbon potential, away from high-conflict zones and complex geopolitical overlays.

The exploration terrain features a combination of uplifted marine sedimentary rock, limestone, and shale with visible fossilized imprints. These geological layers suggest a rich stratigraphic history and an actively evolving system. Photogeologic analysis indicates that adjacent mountain formations likely influence deeper geologic structures, presenting unique subsurface traps for hydrocarbon accumulations.

Manifestations of Gas Seapages

Multiple natural gas seepage zones have been observed along coastal and upland terrains, with characteristics suggesting sustained subsurface activity. These phenomena are currently being monitored and evaluated using environmental safety protocols to determine commercial viability and field development strategy.

Laboratory Findings of Rock Samples

A recent geochemical study from one of our priority sites showed an oil content of 0.35% in recovered rock samples. Subsequent analysis from nearby locations confirmed further presence of thermogenic hydrocarbons, supporting early modeling of a working petroleum system.

The Philippine Energy Contracting Round

The southern frontier regions of the Philippines have historically been underrepresented in past Philippine Energy Contracting Rounds (PECR). While many blocks have focused on Palawan, Sulu, and northern Visayas, PiPo™ continues to champion scientific nomination of overlooked yet promising areas.

Drawing from years of field validation, local intelligence, and scientific reconnaissance, PiPo™ maintains a curated pipeline of frontier basin opportunities identified through observable surface indicators, third-party data layers, and internal assessments. These insights are strategically positioned to support future DOE nominations in alignment with national energy security priorities.

Under DOE rules, nominated sites are eligible for inclusion in future PECR rounds. If a block is successfully nominated and offered, PiPo™ retains preferential matching rights in the event of external bids. This mechanism reinforces our strategic advantage, protects early exploration risk-takers, and affirms PiPo™’s leadership in unlocking untapped domestic energy corridors.

Our pioneering groundwork not only expands the national inventory of viable energy plays but also signals to investors a strong pipeline of maturing prospects with minimized entry risk and policy support.
