PiPo™’s exploration focus is directed toward underexplored frontier areas within the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone. These regions are recognized for their potential to host viable petroleum systems yet remain largely untested compared to mature basins. By concentrating on areas with long-term strategic importance, PiPo™ contributes to the national goal of diversifying energy resources while ensuring that all activities remain aligned with regulatory protocols and future-ready energy transition priorities.

The project areas contain diverse sedimentary formations with a mix of clastic and carbonate materials that indicate a complex geologic history. These formations display features typically associated with mature petroleum systems, including conditions conducive to the generation, migration, and trapping of hydrocarbons. While the specific sequences and structures remain under ongoing evaluation, early findings point to a favorable geological environment for responsible energy development.

Independent geological reviews indicate the presence of multiple sedimentary intervals and sealing layers consistent with mature petroleum systems. These formations exhibit structural and stratigraphic characteristics typically associated with hydrocarbon retention and migration pathways, offering a favorable environment for further assessment within a responsible, staged exploration framework.

With accessible terrain, minimal surface encumbrance, and high geological promise, PiPo™’s project sites stand among the most compelling frontier plays within the Philippine energy landscape.
