Our Project Sites

PiPo™’s exploration areas are located within the southern frontier basins of the Philippines—regions shaped by arc-related tectonics, basin-margin faulting, and long-term sedimentation cycles. These underexplored basins lie within the country’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and exhibit structural and stratigraphic features commonly associated with multi-phase petroleum systems.

The terrain includes uplifted sedimentary formations composed of limestone, shale, and volcaniclastic sequences, interbedded with organic-rich clastic deposits. These were formed through successive tectonic and depositional episodes, creating favorable conditions for hydrocarbon generation, migration, and entrapment.

Stratigraphic interpretations and field-based geological reconnaissance have revealed stacked sandstone intervals, competent sealing facies, and gentle fold structures—features that support the basin’s petroleum system architecture.

With accessible terrain, minimal surface encumbrance, and high geological promise, PiPo™’s project sites stand among the most compelling frontier plays within the Philippine energy landscape.

Significant Milestones

1970

  • Geological interest first established by a US-trained Filipino geophysicist and mining engineer, identifying the area’s frontier potential.

2012

  • Company formally incorporated and granted endorsement by the Department of Energy to operate as an oil and gas exploration entity.

2014

  • Successfully acquired exclusive rights for exploration and drilling over the proposed sites.

2015

  • Internal preparations and technical consolidation aligned with future nomination plans under the Philippine Energy Contracting Round (PECR).

2022

  • Reactivation of the Exploration Project under a new set of officers and technical experts.
